Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is part of the Medical Devices division.

ADC designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge blood glucose monitoring technology for use in both home and hospital settings, including our revolutionary Freestyle Libre Glucose Monitoring System.

In our Centre of Excellence in Witney, we design, develop and manufacture test strips and biosensors which are used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes.


ADC have an exciting opportunity for seven Student Statisticians to join our Technical Operations and Research & Development teams for a 13-month internship at our manufacturing site in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Typical work across both of our statistics teams include:

  • Providing statistical support to various different functions across the business, helping to produce statistical outputs and inference for use in presentations and reports.
  • Monitoring the performance of new and existing products to ensure control, accuracy and looking at ways to drive continuous improvements.
  • Using SAS to analyse a diverse range of clinical, laboratory and manufacturing data.
