We are looking for an experienced estimator to join our expanding team.

You will be responisible for estimating and assessing damage to customer vehicles as well as ordering parts for the job.


A small, busy fast growing, independent automotive accident repair centre, we work on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles.

With a mixture of insurance, trade and retail work you will have a wide range of vehicles to work on.

We are BS10125 accredited and ensure all staff are fully trained. We offer flexible working hours


Job description
a. Estimate by considering the most economical repair method in line with BS10125 and Manufacturer repair methods

b. Liaise with office logistics staff to monitor the amount of vehicles coming into the site to be estimated.

c. Carry out a visual inspection to identify any accidental damage caused to avoid uninsured loss damage costs.

d.

Where a complaint is raised they must be logged and dealt with as per company procedures, focused on a resolution to the complaint and a satisfied customer.

e. Ability to create an estimate both manually and by means of an electronic programme.

f. Contact all customers to explain the approved repairs procedure and identifying non claim related damage offering cash quotes

g.

Ability to value a vehicle at a market value in order to determine the repairable economics of a damaged vehicle.

h. Participate in site specific staff meetings to discuss cost saving ideas to maintain business targets and plans

i.

To ensure accident repair and other bodywork is carried out to the highest standards of quality possible to ensure outstanding customer service and satisfaction.

j. To ensure that customers' vehicles are accurately and fully assessed for damage and repairs required.

k. To ensure efficient use of materials, equipment and labour resources.

l. To control and supervise staff in the use of equipment, tools and best repair methods.


Skills required

  • Previous body shop or workshop experience is essential for this role.
  • Current VDA certiifcation
  • Experience with Audatex and/or GT Estimate
  • IT literate able to use tablet based workshop management system training will be given
Salary dependent on previous experience


Salary:
Up to £40,000.00 per year
