Quality Inspector (6-month) in Crofton, UK we're looking for?

Your future role

Inspection of part / product / train / installation
Reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework)
Independent review of operations processes

We'll look to you for:

The Quality inspector ensures the compliance of products and parts delivered by the ALSTOM facilities.
They perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process.
They validate manufacturing control plans. These control plans are written in close relationship with PME (Process & Manufacturing Engineering) teams.
Accountabilities & Authorities:
Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework).
Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.
Maintain inspection records per component, assembly and vehicle.
Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies and vehicles.
Participate in customer joint inspections.
Preparation of approval and shipping documents.
Control the correct calibration of critical equipment's and instrumentations used in the inspections.
Performance measurements:
Inspection method time adherence.
Defect characterization.
Management of rework

Mandatory:

Engineering HNC/HND or Above preferred
Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment.
Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work
4+ years quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry
Awareness on processes and products delivered in the project
Railway experience a "plus"
Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated.
Rigor, communication.
Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI,) and quality tools.
Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.
