Could you be the full-timeQuality Inspector (6-month) in Crofton, UK we're looking for?
Your future role
- Inspection of part / product / train / installation
- Reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework)
- Independent review of operations processes
We'll look to you for:
- The Quality inspector ensures the compliance of products and parts delivered by the ALSTOM facilities.
- They perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process.
- They validate manufacturing control plans. These control plans are written in close relationship with PME (Process & Manufacturing Engineering) teams.
- Accountabilities & Authorities:
- Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework).
- Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required.
- Maintain inspection records per component, assembly and vehicle.
- Maintain Quality documentation for components, assemblies and vehicles.
- Participate in customer joint inspections.
- Preparation of approval and shipping documents.
- Control the correct calibration of critical equipment's and instrumentations used in the inspections.
- Performance measurements:
- Inspection method time adherence.
- Defect characterization.
- Management of rework

Mandatory:
- Engineering HNC/HND or Above preferred
- Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment.
- Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work
- 4+ years quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry
- Awareness on processes and products delivered in the project
- Railway experience a "plus"
- Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated.
- Rigor, communication.
- Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI,) and quality tools.
- Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.
