Travel Consultant
Broads Travel is part of award winning Independent Spear Travels Travel Group, providing bespoke luxury tailor made holidays.
As a Travel Consultant you will be expected to provide first class customer service to manage all travel requirements and holidays for our clients, no matter how large or small a trip may be.
You will be expected to provide all tourism related services including but not limited to the following;- Researching extensively, plan and book every aspect of our customers holiday
- Provide all relevant information, brochures and internet links for customers
- Advise customers on all visa requirements and any country specific requirements
- Book flights and accommodation, package tours and travel arrangements and
- Process all booking administration and documents accurately with high attention
- Liaise with clients if any changes occur, finding solutions should any problem occur
- Attend promotional events on behalf of the Company and gain product knowledge
- Maintain and develop good working relationships with our Supplier partners,
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise sales opportunities and achieve
Essential Qualities required:
Our travel consultants must have proven experience in a similar role. Excellent communication skills, the ability to persuade and influence, interact and negotiate effectively are essential qualities.
In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate first class attention to detail, customer services experience, commercial awareness, up to date and in depth product knowledge.
You must be comfortable promoting additional products, such as airport hotels, lounges, attraction tickets and be able to demonstrate strong sales skills.
Desirable
- A passion for travel, demonstrated through personal experience advantageous.
- Experience with widely used travel reservation systems is
- A degree or other relevant qualification in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, or
- Any other language skills are advantageous.
Role is based in our Mere Green branch, therefore applicants must live within travelling distance to the branch.
