What we need


We are looking for a bright self-starter with an ability to translate some of our policy and messaging from words on a page into visual and multi-media offerings that will help us take our team on a journey.


You may be asked to:

  • Create a bank of video content for our new learning management system so we can replace 'training by Powerpoint' into short, relatable videos that staff can dip and in and out of;
  • Set up a professional Linkedin page for our UK business with a dual purpose of raising our commercial profile and helping us work to become an employer of choice;
  • Research and advise on how we can use visual and multimedia messaging to reach groups of people not currently engaged in our sector (this could be anything from where we advertise our jobs to how we engage with schools, colleges and older returners to the workforce )


You will need to work from our main office in Westcott - joining as we move out of old buildings into a new one with a clear focus on growth and improvement.

Ours is a busy environment with design, manufacturing and testing of critical spacecraft technology happening on-site.

So you will need to be confident liaising with staff from a wide range of disciplines to tease their knowledge from them and work out how best to engage them when they are busy with many other things.

You will also need to be able to manage your own time and workload on a day to day basis to deliver the targets we agree.


You will naturally need great design/IT/Comms skills and an ability to take basic (often essential regulatory) information and turn it into something engaging.


In return for your time and enthusiasm:

  • You will have a nominated mentor who will meet you weekly to plan and review your work and to offer you support and guidance as needed.
  • We will pay you at London Living Wage level for all the hours you work. (We expect that this will be at least 30 and at most 37 hours per week.)
  • You will be entitled to paid holiday, equivalent to 22 days per full year.
  • You will be able to use our employee assistance programme and have full use of all facilities we provide to our team members.
  • At the end of your placement we will evaluate your work and provide you with a testimonial to help you with securing future work.
  • Whilst there is no guarantee, it is possible that we may seek to extend or make permanent this role.
