Service Operation Team Lead - Cardiff - £33-35,000 with Bonus and excellent benefits

We are looking for a Team Lead to join our Service Operations (installation) team, who will assist the Service Operation Managers and Crews in ensuring the safe and on-time delivery of assigned fibre installations.
About you
We're looking for someone who wants to advance and work with a busy, like-minded team.
You should have previous experience as a senior engineer or a similar team lead/supervisor role and be looking to advance your career with a fast-growing team.
You should have excellent customer-focused communication skills, be proactive in resolving engineering roadblocks, and be able to work independently across various geographic locations.
- Other experience/attributes we're looking for includes _
- Extensive & knowledge of fibre installation
- The ability to read a network fibre plan drawing & knowledge of the Openreach network
- A background in leading teams and driving improvements
- Experience auditing SSOW & quality checks
What you'll be doing
Working closely with the Head of Service Operations and Team Managers you will focus on problem-solving and working with Engineers to develop solutions to operational issues.
You'll also deputise for the Team Manager as required, working in a 70/30 field-based role.It is expected that all engineers under your supervision are visited regularly to enhance and support the Service Operation (installation) teams.
If you've worked in Telecoms for a while, you'll be familiar with the variety that comes with a job like this.
- Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to: _
- Assist the Team Manager in maintaining productivity objectives and implementing/analysing KPIs for the team
- Audit engineers' vans/tools/equipment (including PPE) weekly
- Supports seniors on faults
- Responsible for HSEQ audits & PPE safety management
- Liaising with Engineers to manage equipment and vehicle servicing requirements and schedules
- PIVs
- Ensure that teams are undertaking daily vehicle, tools and equipment checks (including PPE)
- Have an awareness of financial impact relating to performance and compliance. At the same time, liaise with the Team Manager if it felt there is merit in taking additional measures to ensure Customer satisfaction at the point of installation
- Regular reporting on the performance of installations teams, ongoing challenges and ideas for improvements to support KPIs and the improved performance of installations teams
- Booking/managing training
- Stores management
- Input into productivity management (manning) including supporting overtime requires into Managers for approval
