About the role

North Northamptonshire is one of 75 local authorities nationally that has been awarded transformational funding from the Department for Education (DfE) to develop the Family Hubs & Start for Life programme across the unitary area.


This is an exciting new role which will proactively develop and support multi-agency partnerships, as well as parent/carer panels and lead the implementation of Children & Young people participation - ensuring the voice of the child and young person is heard and present throughout the development of strategies, initiatives and programmes of work to improve the sustainability of Family Hubs ensuring the services that are delivered meet the needs of the families of North Northamptonshire.

What will you be doing?
The role will champion co-production with the key aspects of the role including;

  • Fostering and influencing engagement and commitment of all relevant partners in an integrated approach to 'hearing the voice of' Children and Young people
  • Leading on the development and implementation of a participation and engagement strategy across the Family Hubs Network, including work already undertaken as part of the coproduction charter.
  • Explore and identify gaps and opportunities in provision, and where necessary, lead multiagency work to develop, plan and implement solutions and improvements.
  • To provide expert advice, training and support to internal and external stakeholders, including parent / carer networks and children & young people in the delivery of family hubs service plans and outcomes to ensure communities are supported and equipped to advocate broader reach to attain relevant outcomes.
  • To identify, explore and develop proposals for external sources of funding that will help support local development of outcomes relating to Family Hubs and specifically the Youth agenda.

  • We are undertaking consultation with the Trade Unions on terms and conditions and the future NNC pay structure and during this time are appointing new employees on interim spot salaries. You will be advised of the outcome and any impact on your role once this work is complete._
