THE JOB

Fibrus operates in a complex, competitive and regulated telecoms environment in which a broad range of issues can impact our strategic direction and development.

The Head of Regulation and Compliance will be focused on ensuring our compliance with these telecoms regulations.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Overseeing the compliant adherence to all regulatory requirements across the whole business to avoid regulatory breaches, penalties or any other negative business impact
Maintain up to date knowledge of regulatory additions, changes and developments that may impact the business and in turn, advising on and coordinating the development of the company approach
Support business divisions in the submission of regulatory returns and/or commercial dealings, providing guidance and expertise where needed
Act as a representative for the engagement with regional and national regulatory bodies and associated government departments in all areas relating to our obligations under telecommunications regulations
Develop, articulate and advocate internal solutions as required concerning all regulatory operational issues
Where needed, undertake investigations in relation to noncompliance to identify root cause, resolution and mitigation to prevent repeat noncompliance
Contribute to and drive the implementation or development of processes to ensure robust risk management in line with regulatory requirements
Contribute to the development of a regulatory compliance policy and/or guidelines in line with relevant business divisions
Work across the business to educate, promote awareness and understanding and reinforce the importance of regulatory compliance

WHAT WILL YOU BRING?

Demonstrable experience within a similar role involving regulatory controls, compliance and risk analysis
Ideally a working knowledge of the regulatory impacts on the telecommunications industry (eg. Telecommunications Security Act) and of local authority and government requirements
A commercial, inquisitive and strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail
Excellent relationship building skills (both internally and externally) coupled with the ability to influence in an effective, positive and consultative manner
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and communication skills
Competent reporting skills including the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
