Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for an experience Cost Negotiator to join the growing Cost team

Location:
Southport/ Manchester/ Leeds/Hybrid

Proven experience in dealing with high value Litigation and Negotiation cases
Experience of Proclaim
Experience of Cost Master
Organisational, planning and communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Good general IT skills
Time management
Ability to use initiative
Working effectively within a team.
Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines

In the role you will be working within a busy team and must have the ability to manage your own case load and adhere to SLAs.

This is a great opportunity to join a market-leading and expanding firm, at the forefront of clinical negligence litigation. Predominantly dealing with medical negligence and Serious Injury cost cases with experience handling all types of bills of cost.

Main Responsibilities:

Managing own caseload using case management software
Instruct Counsel to attend Detailed Assessment/Oral review or alternatively conduct own hearings
Hit agreed recovery targets
Undertaking accurate valuation
Constant communication with fee earners
Providing head of team updates on forecasts, recoveries, issue files
Hit agreed daily chargeable hours target
Keep MI fully up to date and accurate
Deal with aged debt where applicable
Reviewpoints of dispute
Assist in bundle preparation
Ensure SLA/Pipeline metrics adhered to
Follow agreed processes
Providing legal teams with costs advice
Attending team meetings
Providing feedback on recoveries/files/fee earning practices
