Loading Operative
Based in Darwen

The Senator Group is a major employer in the Burnley, Hyndburn and Blackburn area employing 1400+ staff across its Lancashire based manufacturing sites.

We design and manufacture innovative office furniture which we supply to our customers worldwide.

We are currently looking to recruit a hardworking, conscientious Loading Operative to work within our fast paced despatch operation.

A physically demanding role you will work as part of a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient despatch of products to our customer throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Handling products from production ready for despatch, using the correct equipment, in a safe and efficient way to minimise damage.
Packing products to specification ensuring safe transport to our customers.
Physically moving goods to relevant area locations using pallet trucks ready for despatch in time with customer expectations.
Working together with colleagues to keep the despatch area organised and tidy.
Working proactively to maintain the safety and security of the despatch area.
Implementing agreed processes, working methods and procedures, including IT systems and techniques.
Load our trucks and vans ready for delivery in line with H&S procedures.
Experience working within a similar busy environment.
A quick learner and adaptable.
Work on own initiative and as part of a team with mínimal supervision.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and work to standards.
Able to work to tight deadlines.
Experience of use of hand held scanners/warehouse IT systems (Desirable)
