School Counsellor (Part Time)
St John's is a co-educational Independent School for pupils aged between 2 and 16 years.

This is an exciting opportunity for a School Counsellor to contribute to the provision of outstanding pastoral care for all pupils.

Tasks:

To provide a highquality counselling service to pupils ensuring that pupils are provided with therapeutic and emotional support.
Work with a diverse range of issues including bereavement and loss, transition, depression, anger management and behaviour as a result of anxiety and fears.
To provide support, guidance and advice to parents, carers and the school.
Keep suitable confidential case records on the counselling provided in a secure place, in accordance with the Data Protection Act and for safeguarding records as required
To observe confidentiality and to support the school's endeavour to provide outstanding pastoral care for all pupils.
Work in consultation with the School with regards to Safeguarding and Child protection procedures, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Maintain professional membership of the BACP and individual liability insurance
