Description

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to work alongside a young adult with complex medical and learning needs.

The personal assistant will ideally have experience in supporting an individual with a tracheostomy, or be happy to be trained in caring for an individual with a tracheostomy.

The role will involve the following

• Supporting the young adult within the home environment.

Travelling alongside the young adult when going out on educational and enrichment visits/activities.

Supporting the young adult whilst being tutored by another person.

Working alongside the family, carers and tutors.

Experience of using Makaton sign language would be an advantage, and or working with young people with special educational needs.
