Central Employment are looking to recruit a HR Advisor, joining a global manufacturing organisation in the Tyne & Wear area.

Purpose of the HR Advisor

This role is an integral part of the HR team, delivering a professional, commercially focussed service to the UK site and the broader group.

The position reports to the Group HR Lead and the role will have a direct link to the group companies and divisions.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide and coach managers in employee relations concerns, including discipline and grievance, capability, performance management and absence management processes. Ensure all paperwork is fully complete and processes followed in a timely and professional manner.

Support the HR & Payroll Coordinator with the payroll process to ensure that Finance and Cintra are provided with all necessary payroll information on a monthly basis, ensuring the information is accurate and up to date etc.

Upskill and educate all supervisors and managers on HR best practice to improve abilities and mitigate potential risks.

Work closely with managers to ensure that the Employee Review process is undertaken properly, with all employees receiving feedback reviews and coaching to support their continued career growth.

Manage employee health surveillance with occupational health.
Support employee engagement initiatives.

Support the business in the recruitment of key talent by supporting the Group HR Lead to refine and develop the hiring plan, including reviewing the organisational structure and succession plans to have the right people in the right place at the right time.

Work in close partnership with managers, preferred suppliers to determine the most appropriate recruitment approach for open positions

Track and coordinate recruitment activity, producing insights and recommendations based on data analysis and review of all resourcing across the business.

Understand the skills and competence of your employee groups, making recommendations for training and development options that fit with the business needs.

Design and deliver in-house training in areas connected with people development.

Proactively manage the HR systems and processes, working alongside the HR team to ensure they are managed consistently and efficiently and are kept up to date and continuously improved.

To identify process gaps, make proposals and implement changes to cover the business risks.
Prepare and collate HR management information and reporting (inc. Atlas reporting, KPI's etc).
Identify and improve operational efficiencies, guiding on best practice, whilst ensuring processes run seamlessly.

Ensure all documentation is stored on the HR systems and filed appropriately to allow easy access and continuation of activities across the team.

Work with line managers to ensure paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner, in line with company policy.


PERSON SPECIFICATION
CIPD qualified
Solid, generalist experience within an HR Advisor or similar level HR role.
Worked within the manufacturing sector
Sound, up to date knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations hand on experience.
Experienced in competency-based selection up to and including manager level.
Confident in the design and delivery of employee and manager training across all functions.
Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Experience of delivering HR projects and employee engagement activities.
Experience of working with data and HR systems.
Able to manage a varied workload, with multiple deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
