We are currently recruiting

Senior Child & Youth Justice Workers to work within the
Child & Youth Justice Service at
Lancashire County Council .

Are you a degree qualified children's and young people's practitioner who has supported children to achieve successful outcomes.

Our fantastic
Child and Youth Justice Service , (CYJS) supports children aged 8 -17 years who are at risk of offending and/or anti-social behaviour.

The
CYJS provides targeted support to children, their families, communities, and victims of crime. We take a partnership approach to safeguard children, reduce offending behaviour, and empower children to achieve positive futures.

As a
Senior Child & Youth Justice Practitioner you will deliver our key principles of child first, trauma informed intervention whilst also delivering a restorative approach.


What we are searching for

Passion - As our new
Senior Child & Youth Justice Worker , we'll need you to have a genuine passion for turning lives around and instilling self
- belief in children to make the changes they need - our work is preventative rather than reactive so your focus will be to tailor your support to each child - with your passion and integrity you will build a professional yet relaxed relationship with those you support to inspire each child to make the changes they need - so you will build trust, educate young people on the impact of crime and provide them with the tool's they'll need to succeed - in addition you'll complete interventions on knife crime, anti-social behaviour and work with partner agencies such as the police to achieve this working across Lancashire to support where needed


Compassionate - We need a compassionate and non-judgemental practitioner, someone who can deliver services, achieve outcomes, and remain impartial when providing support - the children and young people we serve can be challenging and need someone resilient, understanding and empathic who can encourage participation in our consent driven service - you'll work with our partners such as health, probation, police, social workers and any other intervention services to achieve the outcomes we need - in addition you'll have a warm, approachable nature and work well with parental guardians and carers to drive forward change - finally you'll see the bigger social picture and understand the impact upon victims, the community and their own lives
