Description

Teaching Assistant (SEMH) - Horsham (15-minute drive, the applicant must be a driver due to location), West Sussex - Full-time - £95 per day, term time.

For this role, a background/study in Graphic Design is desirable due to the classroom the TA will mostly be involved in.

Responsibilities:

Provide support to the class teacher and the students in the classroom
Work with students oneonone or in small groups to provide additional support
Help to manage challenging behaviour and support students in regulating their emotions
Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons and activities
Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals

Requirements:

A background in youth work or experience working with young people
GCSE passes in both English and Maths
Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues
Ability to build positive relationships with students
Willingness to undergo training and professional development
