My client is looking for a Student Progress Coach to work at an Education establishment based in Barrow-in-Furness.

This is a Part-time temporary position to start on Monday 27th February initially until Easter, but it might go on and it will be working with students aged 16+.

You will be expected to work 22 hours per week (Monday-Wednesday)

To be considered for this position YOU MUST:

Hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate
Have previous experience with Student support and academic progress
Have experience with Safeguarding as there will be a lot of student referrals.
Be available to start from Monday 27th February

Your Duties will include:

Maximise attendance, retention and academic progress of around 200 students
Support curriculum areas to meet key objectives of retention and attendance
Liaise with Heads of Area to support students to achieve, ensuring students make appropriate progress across their study programme
Provides representation on appropriate committees/working groups
Oversees actions from team meetings for areas of responsibility, ensuring they are tracked and complete
Liaise with the Student Services Manager to develop and maintain an appropriate communication mechanism between the teams, ensuring all staff are updated and regularly informed of any change in policies, procedures and processes within your remit
Abstract, analyse and manage complex data from areas IT systems to inform area decisions
To be aware of and comply and contribute to Equality and Diversity, Prevent Strategy and the Safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and vulnerable adults, in line with up to date legislation
