Midday Supervisory Assistant in Cwmaber Infants and Junior Schools


Salary:
NJC Grade 1


Contract basis:
Part Time, Term Time only, Fixed Term until 31st August 2023

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 11:45pm - 1:00pm (1.25 hours per day).

The role will initially be based in the infants school, but some work in the juniors may be required.


The Governing Bodies of Cwmaber Infants & Junior Schools seeks to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during lunchtime breaks, in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school.

A reliable and professional person is required for this demanding, but rewarding role within the school.

Duties include
To supervise children during the lunch break
To help children eating their school dinner or packed lunch
To supervise children in the playground
To supervise children in their classes during inclement weather
To play games and undertake activities with the children
To deal with minor accidents and injuries and administer some First Aid
To manage children's behaviour positively
To maintain confidentiality
To safeguard all pupils
