The role:

We are at the inception of our move into the Current Accounts space and are looking for a seasoned leader to drive the strategy, build and launch of our Current Account product.

As the Head of Current Accounts you will play a pivotal role in defining the current account strategy and product creation, with a strong focus on P&L ownership, regulatory knowledge, and operational impact.

We want to transform the Current Accounts space as we have already done with loans, savings, credit cards and car finance, tying together our Zopa ecosystem, with big ambitions targeting over 1m+ active customers in 3 years' time.

This role will be crucial to helping us get there so there's big opportunity for some serious career defining impact.

A day in the life:

Bring your expertise to the table to develop and execute a current account value proposition and strategy that sets us apart from the competition, exceeds customer expectations and delivers commercial ambitions
Create a strategic roadmap that aligns with our vision and customer needs, prioritizing features that ensure our current accounts are a compelling choice in the market
Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and risk to bring your product vision to life
Deeply understand regulatory requirements and ensure compliance throughout the development and implementation of current accounts
Identify and mitigate operational risks, addressing challenges proactively and optimizing processes to ensure seamless account management for our customers in a cost efficient way
Gain an intimate understanding of our customers, anticipating their needs and aspirations, while aligning with commercial goals
Build and inspire the Current Account team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
A track record of delivering exceptional results in product management roles _Current Account products strongly preferred_
A deep understanding of current account products, banking industry trends, and customer preferences
A relentless commitment to doing the right thing by our customers whilst delivering commercial outcomes
A knack for turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive product decisions
A natural ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and influence stakeholders.
A strategic mindset with the knowhow for balancing shortterm goals with longterm vision
An infectious enthusiasm for leadership, motivating and developing highperforming teams
