At East Durham College, we are investing millions of pounds into the redevelopment of our Houghall campus, ensuring that our land-based students get the very best facilities.


So far, we have invested over £13m, including:
- £2.2m in the redevelopment of Houghall's iconic entrance building

  • Opened a new £2.4m Animal Care centre
  • Developed a stateoftheart, £2.6m agricultural unit
  • Opened a brand new equine centre complete with indoor arena

About the Role

  • To assist the Curriculum Manager in leading Animal Management, developing an innovative and dynamic Curriculum offer.
  • To plan, evaluate and review provision in a process of ongoing quality improvement, across City and Guilds Technical Programmes from Level 1 to Level
  • To line manage and motive staff within your team to ensure high quality provision that is ambitious for all learners.

About You

  • Significant vocational / curriculum experience relating to animal delivery and the industry
  • Hold a teaching qualification
  • Be a strong team player, have excellent administration skills and demonstrate a willingness to engage with external partners and industry
  • Working knowledge of FE Sector, funding streams and curriculum design
