Key Relationships To work as an effective member of the multidisciplinary Movement Analysis Centre team in providing an efficient and up-to-date gait analysis service.

To work in conjunction with clinical scientists in the day-to-day running of the Movement Analysis Centre, including calibration, operation and maintenance, ensuring proper acquisition, analysis and verification of electromyography, force plate and motion data.

Main Duties and Responsibilities To assist the N.W.M.A.C.

team in ensuring that gait analysis equipment is correctly configured for the appropriate data collection sessions and that processed data is of suitable quality and quality assured.

To assist in performing patient tests. To assist the N.W.M.A.C. team in processing and managing patient data, including regular backups.

To set a high personal standard of work, keeping abreast of advances in knowledge and practice within the field of motion analysis.

To act in a manner which supports equality and diversity with reference to Trust policies and principles. Communication To liaise with other services and colleagues as necessary. To attend appropriate meetings and courses. Analytical Skills To help provide technical support and expertise to the Movement Analysis Centre including research projects.

To keep abreast of computer technology developments and to be able to develop bespoke software packages. Planning and Organising Skills To be able to work independently. To undertake other related duties as requested to accommodate service needs. Responsibility for Policy/Service Development To be involved in promoting service developments.

Responsibility for Human Resources To assist the N.W.M.A.C. Manager in providing relevant education, training and support for staff, trainees and students assigned to the Movement Analysis Centre. To participate in the staff development process. Responsibility for Information Resources To ensure adequate and accurate records are kept and maintained for inspection.

To act in accordance with the regulations of Health & Safety at Work Act. To maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
