Vehicle Technician

Shift Patterns:
Monday to Friday - 8am - 5:30pm (1 hour lunch) or 8am - 5pm (30 minutes lunch)

Salary:
£25,000 - £34,000 p/a (depend on qualifications and experience) + bonus on hours sold

Igloo have an exciting, permanent opportunity to work for an independent and well established garage/repair centre in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.

The Role:

Preparing for & undertaking MOT tests
Identifying mechanical faults in a vehicle's brakes, engine, gears, or electrics etc.
Once the fault is diagnosed you will need to repair the fault to the correct standards.
Carrying out a multipoint inspection on all vehicles
Ability to draw upon past experience to troubleshoot current issue
Conduct servicing and repairs to a range of vehicles
Reporting all issues/faults found
Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and ontime
Follow assignments through to completion, meets deadlines and deliver on promises
Excellent practical skills and the ability to solve problems
Good communication skills
A willingness to work as part of a team & on own initiative

What kind of person we are looking for?:
Some key qualities for this role are listed below:

BMW/Mini experience desirable but this is not essential
Previous diagnostics experience is required
Excellent communication skills
Able to meet targets and deadlines Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and demanding environment
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
MUST Hold full UK driving licence
