About the Opportunity
They are looking for a Reconciliation Specialist to join their Payment Operations team.
You will be working closely with numerous teams across the Bank, ensuring that all of their customer transactions have been successfully processed and the relevant cashand suspense accounts balance.
It is a great opportunity to learn about payment reconciliations daily processes, gain exposure to other aspects of the business and build relationships across teams.
Responsibilities
- Performing daily account reconciliations.
- Recognising and resolving unreconciled customer transaction breaks across the bank's ledgers and suspense accounts.
- Working closely with various internal teams, e.g. Payment Associates, Engineers, Fincrime, Treasury Bank office etc to ensure payments have correctly posted to customer's accounts and all the supporting entries have cleared.
- Taking ownership of issues, whilst ensuring that appropriate escalations are carried out.
- Coordinating and assisting internal bank teams with investigations and efficient incident resolution.
- Actively seeking to improve processes and workflows.
- Maintaining existing and creating new procedural documentation.
- Experience in reconciliations and payment specialist roles.
- Intermediate Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues and discrepancies.
- Great analytical skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge in reconciliations keysystems and processes.
- Detail and process oriented and comfortable working with large volumes of data and numbers.
