Are you a hard-working and dedicated professional? Do you have experience writing and editing content for web and digital channels? In this role you will be responsible to the Online Customer Experience Manager for managing, developing and designing content on websites as part of a web editing team.

- To write, edit, prioritise and update content on the company website and other commercial sites relating to company services, for example Belfast Zoo
- To manage and maintain high quality web content, which is accurate, timely and offers a satisfactory user experience for both the casual browser and the person seeking specific information
- To liaise with our IT section to improve functionality of our websites for example, by reporting faults
- To work with other departments to assess web and digital information needs and provide advice and suggestions to develop content rich sites that meet the changing needs of customers and corporate agendas
- To contribute to the development of corporate web, social media and video style guidelines and policies
- To monitor content publishing to make sure that we adhere to our corporate content standards and challenge inappropriate content
- To ensure compliance with legislative and government guidelines, for example accessibility and usability
- To match content to users' needs through analysis of search logs and website usage statistics; and conduct monitoring and evaluation to make sure that our online services are useful, usable and used
- To update all the companies digital channels and develop innovative ideas to develop these channels to contribute to the delivery of the marketing and communications strategy and Belfast city brand framework
Your Profile:
- Have a third level qualification in a relevant discipline such as journalism, communications, multimedia, marketing, digital marketing, business studies, English, or equivalent qualification and be able to demonstrate at least one year's relevant experience in a professional capacity of carrying out each of the following areas for an organisation:
- Writing interesting copy in plain English to tight deadlines
- Writing and editing content for web and digital channels
- Using MS Office, Photoshop and a content management package, or equivalent packages
Additional Information:
- Fulltime, temporary assignment
- 37 hours per week
