About our client:
A specialist rehabilitation, recovery, and accommodation organisation based in the South West. They specialise in providing community-based solutions to people with diagnosed mental health conditions or complex, unmet needs.


This role will be based in a 12-bed step through rehabilitative facility set in the beautiful grounds of South Gloucestershire.

It houses adult males aged 18-65 with a mental health illness.


Salary:
£27,810 per annum


Hours:

On a 4 week rolling rota totalling 37.5 hours a week, worked across 08:00 - 17:30, includes every other weekend with at least 2 days off in the week when weekend working.


The role:


We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Catering Manager to provide high quality catering which offers choice and meets the dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs of those who use our service.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Completing menu reviews ensuring choice, variety and individual needs are successfully met.
  • Work alongside your Catering Assistant to provide leadership and guidance.
  • Take charge of the kitchen budget, source, and work with suppliers by ordering foods required.
  • Organise and manage the daily production and serving of highquality meals.
  • Ensure a tidy, hygienic, and safe working environment is always maintained, and is fully compliant with relevant Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulation.
  • Ensure that daytoday tasks and routines are carried out to contribute to the smooth running of the service.
  • Actively promote the service using clear, respectful, and helpful communication with all potential internal and external stakeholders including individuals who use services, relatives, health and social care professionals, other officials and contractors,visitors as well as colleagues.
  • As well as providing nutritional meals for clients on a daily basis there will be an opportunity for you to work with clients to develop their cooking skills. You will be able to design and provide training programmes on how to prepare meals for themselvesand understanding of nutrition. This will enable them to gain knowledge and skills towards their independent living.

About you:

  • Can work independently to design nutritious menus that cater for a variety of dietary requirements.
  • Can supervise and develop the Kitchen Assistant
  • Has experience of planning and preparation of food and beverages in a residential setting.
  • Can support colleagues in the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages to residents.
  • Has experience of ordering and stock control to work within budgets.
  • Is qualified in food safety and hygiene and can ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Can maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Is responsive to feedback to ensure satisfaction with meals provided.
  • Is flexible, motivated, good team player, positive, personable and nonjudgemental.
