My client is a leading FMCG manufacturing organisation with an impressive history and a fantastic reputation within the industries they serve.

Due to a range of innovative developments and investment, they are going through an extensive period of growth.
This includes new state-of-the-art manufacturing assets.

Due to this expansion, they are looking to an experienced Engineering Supervisor to their site on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

The key responsibilities will include:

Ensure a safe working environment for Plant & People
Taking responsibility for daytoday engineering functions overseeing the engineering team's workload
Risk assessments and the development of engineering standard operating procedures
Develop a multi skilled maintenance team
Controlling, improving and developing planned preventative maintenance
Provide records of recurrent faulting and develop engineered solutions
Provide high operational availability, and an efficient breakdown repair service
Ensuring productivity and availability exceeds minimum defined standards
Driving best practice and continuous improvement in cost control and processing operations
Support projects and major installation/improvement works
Develop a culture of continuous improvement and create a fully integrated engineering department

The Successful Applicant:

Previous experience of working in Manufacturing
Maintenance supervisory experience
Strong, proven leadership ability within a process manufacturing or electrical engineering environment
Ambitious and creative, with vision to drive business forward
Knowledge of existing environmental and health and safety legislation
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, in order to communicate projects to personnel across all levels
Adept and creative problem solver
Excellent organisational skills
Budgets and cost control
