Role Description:


We have an exciting opportunity open for a Senior Associate to join our Debt Capital Market operations team, which is part of the wider Global Market Operations, providing operational support to the EMEA DCM banking team and EMEA syndicate trading desks, working primarily with Fixed Income Instruments such as Investment Grade issuances, High Yield, Private Placements, Asset & Mortgage Backed securities.


The role requires that the individual will have a keen understanding of existing operational protocol and risk management with an opportunity to learn, or expand upon, their knowledge of specific rules within primary issuance, and internal technological infrastructure, whilst being able to build a direct operational, network within wider GMO teams, as well as with the front office EMEA DCM banking, syndicate trading, sales teams, and other syndicate banks.


Responsibilities:


  • You will provide Operational support to the EMEA Debt Syndicate Desk.
  • You will book and amend trades as required completing these tasks with a high level of precision and accuracy.
  • You will ensure that all key operational reconciliations are actioned on time and escalated as necessary within the team and business as required.
  • You will be able to successfully interface with the trading desk in regards the accurate processing of deal bookings, correctly reflect trader market risk across all relevant BOFA entities for each primary deal, ensuring any issues are highlighted in a timely manner
  • You will perform the necessary reconciliations required in the bookbuild process with other external syndicate members, providing the operational support to the trading desk and sales in finalising the Sale order book for the Syndicated Deal, prior pricing.
  • You will process the closing payments to issuers and tracking associated fee payments to syndicate members in a timely manner.
  • You will track failing deals, engaging with Settlement teams, and supporting any client specific escalations to ensure successful and timely settlement.
  • You will assist with the process of providing "production credits" to the salesforce as relevant for the individual deal

What we are looking for:


  • Fixed Income Product experience, preferably with a Syndicate / New Issues market background.
  • Track record of operating within a robust control environment, able to mitigate operational and reputation risks faced in the execution of standard flow business and ensure the successful integration of new business opportunities.
  • Establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders across the product including Trading desks, Operations, Technology and Finance across all regions.
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders, understanding their individual requirements whilst managing expectations on a daytoday basis.
  • Actively support any business or product objectives, ensuring the team is focused on delivering cost efficient and effective processes
