Part-Time 20 hours per week (Mon - Fri 10.00am - 2.00pm)

Additional hours at times and very occasional weekend work - will be paid as overtime

Based in central Leeds
A site caretaker is required to work in purpose built student accommodation premises in Leeds.


What will you be doing?

• Daily upkeep of the premises (inside and outside)
• Ensuring any faults are rectified in a timely and safe manner and that the electronic log for all faults is kept fully updated
• Ensuring that the communal areas of the building are kept clean, tidy and safe at all times
• Providing a helpful, friendly and responsive service to occupants at all times
• Assisting and directing external contractors attending site
• Sorting incoming mail/parcels and delivering to individual mailboxes as necessary
• Carrying out routine and planned maintenance tasks internally and externally as required
• Assisting the Property Supervisor as necessary in resolving any identified issues
• Testing building alarm systems e.g fire alarm, disabled refuge alarm, passenger lift call button (training will be provided)

What do you need to be successful?

• Have knowledge of and previous experience of carrying out basic maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations would be preferred although training can be arranged
• Trade experience particularly of plumbing would be highly desirable
• Selfmotivated with a positive attitude
• Friendly and approachable demeanour
• Flexible working additional hours at times will be necessary
• Committed to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload
• Computer and IT skills
• Good communicator and team player
