JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary objective for the Swimming Instructor will be:

• To teach one to one and group setting and a varying age and ability as per Swim Englands learn to swim framework
• To deliver high quality lessons inline with the companies expected standards and schemes of work
• To deliver the companies internal water safety competencies "Swim Safer, Smarter, Stronger"
• To deliver both in and out of the water, providing explanations and demonstrating appropriate swimming techniques for skill level.
• To carry out continued assessments and update the child's progression via the tablet after each lessons
• To adhere to all health and safety protocols as stipulated in the company's policies and procedures
• To continue your professional development through various CPDs hosted by the company
• To maximise the retention of swim school participants through quality standards, motivation and customer care.
• To ensure strong communication links between yourself, swim manager, reception and duty management.
• To deal with customer enquiries, feedback and concerns in a professional manner.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant Teaching Course

SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher Course

NPLQ or NRSTC

*Other qualifications such as STA will be considered with intent to upskill to IOS level 2

DBS
The position of Swimming Instructor is classed as a regulated post and therefore requires a DBS Disclosure. It will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.
