One of the largest Housing Associations in London is recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Scheme Coordinator to support with the effective delivery and compliant housing service from one of their services in Bethnal Green
The Services
This Sheltered Scheme Coordinator vacancy is based in an Independent Living service for residents aged 55+. The service has 36 flats and is based in Aylesham, CT3
The Role
The focus of this Sheltered Scheme Coordinator role is to provide an effective housing management and support service to older residents and will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Completing home visits to ensure that residents are able to understand and manage their tenancy and comply with their tenancy conditions; Monitoring and logging voids
- Promoting activities and liaising with relevant agencies.
- You will assist residents to access support, give advice and guidance to facilitate moves to alternative accommodation.
- Deal with nuisance issues and low level Anti-Social Behavior.
- Assist residents to claim housing benefits and other welfare benefits.
- You will consult with residents on schemebased decisions and facilitate regular tenant involvement group (TIG) meetings.
- You will be responsible for Health and Safety including monitoring visitors, testing the telecare alarm system and fire safety equipment, as well as reporting any repairs
- Relevant experience of housing services for older people.
- Experience in Enhanced Housing Management.
- Delivery of services in a culturally diverse community and excellent customer services to older people.
- Up to date and relevant knowledge of Older people's services, safeguarding, Housing and relevant legislation e.g., welfare benefits, care and support. and how these affect the services provided.
The Package
This is a Permanent, Sheltered Scheme Coordinator role, working 35 hours per week.
The salary on offer is £26,099 and comes with an attractive benefits package, including 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, subsidised gym membership and healthcare.
