THE OPPORTUNITY

Reports to:

The Aftersales Stores Operative - Master Technician will report to the Aftersales Stores Supervisor.


Job Purpose:

The Aftersales Stores Operative Master Technician will be responsible for all duties within the department.


The Aftersales Stores Department is responsible for booking in goods received from suppliers, where they will either be assigned to a stock location or processed for packing to despatch to the dealer network by demand.

The role of Master Technician will be trained in all 3 areas of the department and help support and mentor the team, planning the day for the pickers and packers to ensure targets are met.

Aftersales Parts Orders are processed for all three product streams; Caravans, Motorhomes and Holiday Homes.

Key parts of the role will include:

  • Booking in goods received from suppliers
  • Picking and parts and issuing despatch paperwork
  • Working as a team to achieve daily despatch targets
  • Movement of products received around site using a fork lift truck
  • Problem solving, investigating and resolving queries

Principal accountabilities are as follows:


  • Accurately check and count in goods received using the computer systems
  • Report any shortages or damages immediately
  • Locate parts received to dedicated areas
  • Pick from labels printed on a daily basis for parts in stock required for outstanding orders
  • Pack and accurately label parts for despatch
  • Demonstrate a positive and proactive approach
  • Responsible for covering in the absence of the Supervisor
  • Provide an EPIC approach to meet with our ethos

Job Context / Key Challenges:

The business continues to expand and with this the Aftersales Parts demand continues to grow.

The team is well established and we are looking for another key member to support all functions within the department, to be flexible and work collectively.


Challenges include ever changing demand within the three areas of the department dependant on volumes of product received and available to pick.

Flexibility is key to meeting this demand as and when required.


The Aftersales Stores Team are responsible for ensuring that parts are despatched in a timely manner, packed correctly and of good quality.


Knowledge and Experience:


Essential skills required include:


  • Previous experience in a stores environment
  • Computer literate
  • Strong verbal, written communication and reporting skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Reliable, focused and detail orientated
  • Highly driven selfstarter with an ability to deal with problems quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast paced environment
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to support and mentor others

Desirable skills required include:


  • Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Fork lift truck experience, training will be provided
