Linux Engineer - Preston, United Kingdom - Iceberg Cyber Security Ltd
Description
We are partnering with a global leader in the defence and aerospace industry to hire a Cyber Security Engineer. This role demands a high level of expertise in Linux Administration and security skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Deep understanding of Linux Administration (Redhat) with troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
- Awareness of DLP solutions (Symantec/Trellix, or any other tools).
- Knowledge of enterprise networks and firewall troubleshooting (Palo Alto), as they will be responsible for approving FW rules in the future.
- Scripting skills, specifically in PowerShell/Python, to set up, configure, and automate test environments.
This position requires occasional onsite work in Preston, joining a team of 3 (and growing).
The base salary is £47,000, with bonus potential and excellent benefits.
Please note that SC clearance is mandatory for this position.
