Job description:

Would you like to be at the forefront of designing long-term strategies that are critical for the UK to meet its Net Zero targets and tackle climate change? Carbon Capture Usage and Storage (CCUS) is critical to the UK's Net Zero ambition.

The CCUS programme has a target of storing 20-30 megatonnes of CO2 by 2030.

The Transport and Storage Policy Team is responsible for developing the economic regulatory framework necessary to enable the safe transport and permanent storage of CO2 in the UK Continental Shelf.

We are also responsible for ensuring the policy and regulatory framework enables sufficient CO2 storage capacity to meet our net zero ambitions, as well as supporting the potential to maximise the economic benefit of importing CO2 for storage in UK stores.

Our team works collaboratively with industry and other government departments to collectively advance CCUS deployment, both in the UK and internationally.
