Description

• Developing healthy and balanced meals in discussion with residents and staff and also in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
• Preparing meals according to the resident's care plan and medical needs, such dysphagia and allergies.
• Considering residents preferences that includes what kind of drink and food they want and how they want it to be taken.
• Promoting independence through meal times.
• Ensuring Protected Meal Time is maintained.
• Considering residents religious and cultural backgrounds that might affect their dietary requirements.
• Monitoring kitchen stocks and ordering supplies.
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.
• Ensuring the safekeeping of the kitchen and storerooms is maintained at all times to provide a safe working environment.
• Attending training courses related to job role.
• Working as part of a team to create a comfortable and safe environment.
• Complying with Health & Safety, Fire Regulations and other Beverley Park Nursing Home policies.
