About The Role:


Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Head of Process Excellence & Transformation to join our team in Coalville on a full-time, permanent basis.

Joining Vehicle Solutions, part of Motability Operations Limited, the UK's largest vehicle leasing company, the Head of Process Excellence & Transformation is a key role responsible for driving process and operations improvement initiatives across Vehicle Solutions.


Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be a central part of the organisation and provide support across multiple departments.

Your expertise in process improvement and operational excellence will be critical in driving operational efficiencies, improving customer service, and reducing costs.

You will have the opportunity to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to create and implement effective process improvement solutions.

As part of the senior management team, this role is instrumental in supporting Vehicle Solutions in its objective to prepare for sale, up to 75K vehicles per year.


  • Implement the systematic analysis of processes across business functions to identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for improving operational performance.
  • Develop and implement process excellence initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
  • Support process improvement projects and initiatives, including mapping current state processes, mapping future state processes, and implementing process changes.
  • Utilize a variety of process improvement tools and techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Identify and document process gaps and inefficiencies and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Develop metrics and reporting to monitor process performance and measure the impact of process changes.
  • Develop and maintain process standards and best practices.
  • Work with SMEs and business partners across other departments to identify potential areas of process improvement.
  • Work with Finance to develop compelling business cases for process improvement initiatives with which to gain buyin from business process stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings, using crossfunctional teams to undertake analysis, solve problems, drive engagement, and develop solutions to process issues.
  • Foster a process excellence culture by communicating process excellence initiatives, progress, and results.
  • Oversight and coordination of delivery plan(s) that maximise return on investment and pace of delivery to underpin the desired business change outcomes.
  • Whilst our Coalville site is undergoing refurbishment, this role will be based at Wymeswold Airfield, Prestwold Lane LE12 5SH._

About You:


  • Demonstrated experience working in change management and business process improvement, process optimisation, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering value.
  • A critical thinker with strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Experience using process mapping tools & process improvement tools. (preferred)
  • Good project management skills.
  • Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
  • Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs, and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realises, they are required.

Minimum criteria:


  • Ability to provide business value and insight based on data and information.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and are comfortable in dealing with people of all levels of seniority.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours.
  • Evidence of working with matrixed teams to deliver tangible outcomes.
  • Business change and communications experience.
