Applications are invited for the post of Domestic Services Assistant - Deep Clean Operative to work 37.5 hours per week (5 days per week on rota, to work a range of shifts between the hours of 08:00-22:00, to include some weekends).


The Deep Clean Operative will carry out cleaning, enhanced cleaning and decontamination tasks in a variety of settings including wards, clinics, treatment rooms, offices, waiting rooms, public areas etc.

Their area of work will be all BCUHB locations within the locality and non BCUHB buildings as requested.

All tasks are to be carried out in line with departmental SOPs, COSHH Regulations & Cleaning Responsibility Framework at frequencies set out in Standards for Cleanliness in Wales or as requested.


General cleaning duties ensuring all areas within health care environments are cleaned to the standard laid down in the National Standards for Cleanliness in Wales, and in line with the Cleaning Responsibility Framework (CRF).

This will include all wards, clinical areas, departments, offices, and public areas. Providing a thorough deep clean and decontamination of building fabric and equipment as necessary.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
