Attewell is a fast-growing Aerospace manufacturing business based in Hayes, Middlesex.

We have a highly prestigious and demanding customer base, and we now looking to recruit an apprentice to support our manufacturing areas.

Role Profile**Reporting to the Production Manager, Attewell Limited has a fantastic opportunity for a well organised and enthusiastic apprentice to join the manufacturing department. From basic milling machines to complex 5-Axis machining centres, as an apprentice at Attewell, you will have the opportunity to learn from our many years of experience in the aerospace manufacturing sector.

We have collaborated with Uxbridge College to offer this apprenticeship, which is a four-year, day release programme.

It provides the best of both learning styles with theory-based study at college and hands-on manufacturing in the factory at Attewell in Hayes.

Following the successful completion of this apprenticeship you will achieve the following:

  • Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification
  • 4 years working engineering experience across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend a planned programme of study at Uxbridge College.
  • Gain experience and learn from senior operatives on principles of machine operations and Attewell processes.
  • Learn to read and understand Technical/Engineering drawings and related documentation.
  • Maintain good 6S and housekeeping.
  • Assist production and engineering with continuous improvement activities.
  • Comply with Attewell and Avantus policies.

  • Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, hardworking and flexible

Qualifications and Experience Levels:


  • GCSE (Maths, Science and English) or equivalent, Grade 59

Working hours
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday.

You will be required to attend a place of study based on Uxbridge College timetable. Including exams and other requirements of the programme of study.
