We are a long-standing manufacturer of music stands, lights, chairs and staging for the music and events industry based in Witham, Essex.
Our products are used in over 60 countries, some of our clients include Sydney Opera House, Abbey Road Studios and the BBC Orchestra.

The role of the Production Supervisor is a hands-on role where you will be required to oversee the assembling and building of our range of products to RATstands high standards, this will involve problem solving and using your initiative.
The role will be varied, one day you'll be upholstering chairs, the next day assembling lights and building music stands.
We are a small team who are growing, you will currently manage one Production Operative but we expect the team to grow within the year and you will be pinnacle in the hiring and training as the team expands.
Main Duties:
- Supervising the production operative and dealing with any HR matters including reviews.
- Liaising with the Purchasing Manager with regards to the weekly production schedule, managing the issued schedule to meet the deadlines given.
- Building and assembling lights and lighting accessories to specifications and works orders on time and according to production plan.
- Upholstering and assembling of chairs.
- Building of staging and accessories, which includes heavy lifting.
- Investigate, diagnose and repair products.
- Picking of components for works orders and packing of finished products.
- Fully understand and carry out test procedures alongside quality checks.
- Liaise with the Design Engineers to update the drawings and BOM's where needed.
- Help the Warehouse Manager with stock takes where required.
- Cover the despatching of orders in the Warehouse Manager's absence.
Requirements:
- 5+ Years manufacturing experience including using hand tools.
- Previous experience in a management or supervisor role.
- Capability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg.
- Computer literate.
- Previous experience using ERP Software is advantageous but not essential.
- Soldering experience is desirable.
