HR Advisor

Hazelwood School is a flourishing, non-selective, independent co-educational Prep School for children between the ages of 4 and 13 years of age with a linked Nursery and Early Years site catering for children from 9 months to 4 years.

We are recruiting an HR Advisor. The successful applicant will provide a customer focussed service to the school and its stakeholders. This is a largely stand-alone role, requiring the postholder to work independently.

Key responsibilities include leading on resourcing, day-to-day employee relations, employee life cycle and HR transactional activities. The post holder will work closely with managers and department heads to provide guidance, advice and assistance.

CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years' experience in an HR role.
Proven experience of giving professional advice.
Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft with experience of using an HR database.
Able to provide pragmatic HR advice to senior staff and managers.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Willingness to keep up to date with employment legislation and current HR thinking.
Experience of creating new systems and processes to develop efficiency.
