About the Role of Business Development Director


Due to growth our client is looking to recruit for a Business Development Director to join the London sales team.


Reporting directly to the VP of Sales this is a Senior Sales position responsible for all new business activities and new client acquisition sales in the UK and Europe with a focus on the Nordics region.


As a Business Development Director you will:

  • Join a collaborative, leading Pharma Intelligence / SAAS provider to work towards achieving and exceeding sales revenue targets
  • Partner up with SDR / BDR team who will help qualify sales appointments / sales leads for you to close whilst also sourcing and developing your own sales prospects
  • Build new client relationships at enterprise level within Pharmaceutical Providers, Biotech Companies, CRO's, Medical Device Providers and Service Providers in the DACH / European region
  • Sell a range of solutions from bespoke Consulting Solutions through to multiyear subscriptions / licenses of our client's online intelligence / insights platform
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from initial discovery call, demonstrations / sales meetings through to closing enterprise level sales with 'C' level decision makers
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, product development, account management and customer success teams to execute sales strategy
  • Devise and execute territory and account development plans to assure sales quota achievement
If you have experience of selling research / consulting / advisory solutions into the Healthcare / Pharmaceutical / Bio Tech sectors and have a consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, then this would be a fantastic opportunity foryou


About You:


  • Self motivated, team player and results focussed
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience of selling business intelligence / research / advisory solutions or SAAS into the Healthcare / Pharmaceutical / Biotech sectors
  • Good understanding of how analysis and information supports Pharmaceutical and Bio Tech business processes and decisions
  • Degree educated
  • Experience in presenting / closing deals with 'C' level decision makers
  • Excellent face to face presentation skills
  • Strong sales methodology, familiar with Challenger Sales or Miller Heiman
