A rapidly growing SaaS company are opening a UK division and are looking for an enthusiastic and commercial Business Development Executive with proven sales and customer service experience.

Today, the company has over 600 customers, around 130 of which areUK based, despite their only office being in NZ

The Business Development Executive will be joining at an excellent time, as they launch their UK presence as part of our plans to scale-up the business globally.

This new role provides excellent scope for career development and progression, alongside a competitivesalary and benefits package, including base salary, performance related bonus, company pension scheme, ICT for home office and visits to the New Zealand head office.

The role at first will be fully remote and will require travel occasionally to meet with customers.

  • Sales (new customer and existing customer):
  • Define sales targets and forecasts with the Board in line with the UK business plan.
  • Utilise the CRM system to manage prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Respond to inbound enquiries to develop new opportunities and load these into our CRM.
  • At all times, ensure that the style of selling is consultative and focused on customer benefits.
  • Customer Experience and Customer Service, including:
  • Work with customers to ensure that they understand how best to utilise software to achieve maximum benefit for their organisation
  • pro-active customer service.
  • Act as first contact point for inbound customer queries and work with the NZ Team to identify, develop, and deliver solutions to improve customer experience.
  • Commercial Reporting on Business Performance vs Targets and KPIs, including:
  • Work closely with the Board to develop the KPIs for the business and create a dashboard to ensure that performance is always visible.
  • Provide structured commercial reports and commentary on the performance of the business.
  • Provide analysis and insight to work with the Board and NZ Team on suggested product, process and service improvements.
Person Specification
The Business Development Executive role requires the following key skills/competencies/personal qualities:

  • Previous experience (c. 2 years) working in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of and experience in sales, marketing, and customer service.
  • Competent IT skills are essential.
  • Experience in working at an administrative level for a nonprofit organisation; (e.g., a charity, church or similar) would be a distinct advantage.
  • Well organised, with the ability to effectively manage their workload.
  • A confident and assured individual, who is a strong team player and is comfortable dealing with people at all levels in an organisation.
