About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Product Manager to join our successful high stakes Product Team.

Acting as the focal point between the customer, sales and marketing and development, the applicant will provide a commercial focus across the portfolio helpingto strengthen conversion metrics, partner with regional teams to shape commercial strategy and lead the roadmap and delivery for a series of products within the Pearson Test of English (PTE) high stakes test portfolio, aimed at both B2B and D2C personas.

Theapplicant will have a keen understanding of the high stakes English test market, competitive landscape and customer needs.

This role can be home & office based, but regular attendance to the
London, 80 Strand office is required


Key Activities Include:


  • Supporting the Director and VP Product Management to to expand the footprint and success of the assessment portfolio.
  • Gathering and analysing market, customer, and competitive insights to inform product strategy to attract new customers and increase market share
  • Working with both B2B and B2C marketing and sales teams to develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize adoption and revenue
  • Understanding and articulating customer needs and collating problems into jobs to be done. Develop solutions and define product direction and vision to meet customer needs.
  • Creating business and gotomarket product plans to describe the value proposition, product and sales strategy and financial models to support ongoing product development and innovation.
  • Monitoring product performance and influencing ongoing operational effectiveness and product and platform enhancements and maintenance.
  • Coordinating crossfunctional alignment across delivery groups (UX, test development, technology and operations teams) to drive/influence technology roadmap and capabilities.
  • Maintain and develop partnerships with external vendors that support technology, infrastructure, content, and commercial arrangements
  • Your profile

About you

Essential

  • Demonstrable product management or product marketing experience
  • Strong experience in launching successful products
  • Proven ability to lead and influence crossfunctional teams with a strong global focus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Desire to deliver exceptional products and services with the potential to transform customers' lives

Desirable

  • Market and customer awareness with deep teacher/learner/customer empathy in international education
  • Strong technical understanding of online learning/assessment technologies
  • Strong understanding of the principles of assessment design
