Development Coordinator

Dudley (travel to UK sites required)

Permanent

£22,000 - £28,000 negotiable depending upon experience


We are working with a nationwide charitable organisation that currently has a need for a Development Coordinator to join their team.

The role will comprise of multiple duties in support of the Health and Safety Manager with the development and implementationof their quality systems, health and safety, risk management and facilities management.

Key Responsibilities of the Development Coordintaor

  • Provide direct support to the Health and Safety Manager with the development and implementation for the organisations Quality Systems, health and safety, risk management and facilities management
  • Operating risk management software, imputing and producing detailed information to provide the organisation with suitable information for analysis
  • Resourcing, collating incident information reviewing and producing detailed monthly reports for the organisation to review.
  • Assist with review of incident reports, analysis identification of trends, producing reports, graphs for interpretation of occurrences an identification required controls and actions.
  • Assist with incident investigation and root cause analysis in supporting the organisations to address incidents, identify causation, applicable regulation requirements and necessary actions
  • Liaise with all department, in respect of disseminating and requesting information within set times and parameters
  • Liaise with external contractors and agencies requesting legislative information, sending requested information within set timescales, recording and maintaining accurate records for assurances with compliances imposed.
  • Assisting with coordinating and arranging facilities maintenance and remedial work, in conjunction with Mangers and contractors
  • Where necessary undertake on site visits to review facilities, required works, remedical actions required to assess work and potential risks that would been to be reviewed
  • Assisting with sourcing varying types of equipment in conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager and other managers and departments to ensure effectiveness of process and assurance of compliance
  • Assist with disability, ambulant assessments for existing and new premises to ensure suitability of process and assurance of compliance with regulations and the Equality Act
  • Produce report documents as necessary as part of the development and introduction

The Successful Development Coordinator

  • A genuine interest in quality, health and safety and developing a career within that sector is essential
  • Computer literate, operation of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is essential
  • Experience of operating and working with quality systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organisational skills to take on a wide range of issues and tasks at the same time
  • Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure and priotitising deadlines
  • Proven ability to write reports and provide briefing notes
  • Excellent level of attention to detail in terms of auditing and record keeping
  • Be of a caring and empathetic disposition
  • Experience with production of documents, detailed information to allow analysis is desirable
  • Experience of working with ISO 9001 desirable
  • DBS is essential for this position, it would be ideal if you already have the certificate and are on the update service
  • Must be a driver with access to own vehicle as travel across various sites would be expected as part of the role

What's on offer?

  • Salary of £22,000 £28,000 per annum negotiable, dependent upon experience
  • Main office based in Dudley with extensive UK travel required (Mileage Paid)
