The School of Engineering at the University of Lincoln wishes to appoint a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to develop a process for removing coke deposits from internal passages in aeroengine components.

This is a multi-faceted industrial research project funded by Rolls-Royce.


This role is based principally at the University of Lincoln Campus but with an expectation to travel to Rolls-Royce Derby as well as to other project stakeholders as necessary.

Essential Requirements

  • A strong background in numerical modelling of complex vibration dynamics.
  • Experience in commissioning and operation of experimental test facilities.
  • Exceptional selfmanagement, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong scientific and technical writing and presentation skills.
