This is an established (permanent) post, 5 days a week, working in a key stage 2 class (in the first instance) term time only plus inset days (39 weeks).

Hours of working will be 8:45 am to 3:15 pm (27.5 hours).


General Teaching Assistant - Band C (SCP 2-4)


We are a successful school in a semi-rural setting, who have 'high expectations for all, by all', where pupils can aim to achieve their personal best within a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.


We are looking to appoint a committed, caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant who:

  • Is committed to safeguarding the children in our care and adheres to safeguarding policy and procedures
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Has recent experience and knowledge of working with individuals and groups of children especially those with additional needs
  • Has a sense of humour
  • Has an ability to work as part of a team
  • Has an ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Has a willingness to be part of the community of Hensall Primary School
  • Work with a highly reflective and genuinely supportive team
  • Have training to support professional development
  • Work with wellbehaved children who really want to learn
