Description

V&A East

V&A East is made up of two new additions to the V&A family of venues - V&A East Museum and V&A East Storehouse, both currently being built in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London and due to open in 2025.

V&A East Museum is nestled on the Stratford waterfront (near Westfield). V&A East Museum is firmly grounded in east London with a global outlook.

Visitors will hear from many different voices and be able to explore the threads that connect creativity throughout history - focusing on the why as much as the how.

We have some notable neighbours on the waterfront - Sadler's Wells, London College of Fashion and the BBC are all due to open over the next two years; and UCL East began welcoming students last Autumn.

Together we make up East Bank, a new cultural destination and partnership, brimming with possibilities for collaboration.

On the other side of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, V&A East Storehouse is located in Here East (near Hackney Wick) and is the first of its kind - a working museum store open to the public.

Imagine walking into a giant, exquisitely designed glass atrium, surrounded by thousands of objects, and with the ability to request to view many more - all for free.

V&A East Storehouse will allow visitors to peer behind the scenes of the V&A, stroll through at their leisure or learn, see, make, and create through workshops and events.
