An exciting opportunity and opening has become available in our multi-disciplinary Supporting Families Team.

We are seeking for a six month fixed term period, or through secondment, a Health Specialist to join our established and successful supporting families programme.

Using you specialist knowledge of health and services you will provide consultation, advice and information to professionals across Barnet, regarding health needs that children and young people experience.

Against the Governments Supporting Families Outcomes Framework you will work in ensuring early identification and support to prevent Children and Families health needs from progressing.


As well as signposting, you will act the lead professional and undertake early help assessments to support children and families with health needs supporting them to access a range of services.


The post holder will also have an oversight of our local social prescribers coordinators, ensure holistic overview of; social and environment factors that can impact on health.


The aim of the Family Service is to ensure that all children and young people in Barnet achieve the best possible outcomes and to enable them to become successful adults, especially our most vulnerable children.

They should be supported by high quality, integrated and inclusive services that identify additional support needs early, are accessible, responsive and affordable for the individual child and their family.
