Senior Residential Support Worker

Location:
Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Salary:
£25,950 - £26,988
(£ £13.00 per hour, based on passing probation)

Additonal:

£60.00 per sleep in (working between sleep ins £30,270 - £34,188)

ILEA Palm Care is a family run and owned private limited company, established to deliver high quality childcare for children and young people who need 24 hour registered residential provision.

We are able to look after 3 children aged between 8-18 who are in need of care and support due to personal circumstances that have resulted in the child being placed (fully or partially) into the care of the local authority.

This is ILEA Palm Care's first home. The owners have 20+ years working with children and young people.

We are recruiting adults who have a genuine interest in supporting young people to heal and grow through the Companies ethos, ethics and high moral standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage a team of support workers completing supervisions, providing feedback on CPD and be responsible for shifts.
  • Provide tailored and focused support to traumatised children and young people.
  • Support with independence skills.
  • Align with the ethos and morals of the company.
  • Remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
  • Discuss with other employees about care plans and work goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and patience when dealing with young people, professionals, and families.
  • Be adaptable and consistent in the delivery of care.
