As Compliance Risk Oversight - Laws, Rules, and Reg Mapping, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance Risk Oversight with testing and overseeing the mapping of laws, rules, and regulations in line with Policies and Standards.

You will also support the mapping of Conduct related laws, rules, and regulations and to consider, and implement, any changes to the existing control taxonomy and framework.

Working Flexibly

What will you be doing?:


  • Supporting the Compliance Risk Oversight Team with defining a testing methodology
  • Identifying and work with key stakeholders to oversee and ensure the effective mapping of Laws, Rules, and Regulations in line with the Compliance Risk Management Control Objectives
  • Participating in the mapping of Laws, Rules, and Regulations relevant to existing Conduct Policies and Standards
  • Interacting effectively and with credibility with a broad range of stakeholders, predominately senior VP and above
  • Managing internal stakeholders, and ensure expectations are clearly outlined and are delivered
  • Leading and using initiative to shape the approach in the aspects of the programme that are assigned to them

What we're looking for:


  • Experience in a financial services organization
  • Knowledge and experience of Global Laws, Rules, and Regulation with respect to the Financial Services Sector
  • Significant Experience in Legal, Compliance or a similar Controls Function with vast check and challenge capabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel and experience tracking actions and coordinating meetings and forums

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience working at Barclays and a Solid knowledge of the Barclays Risk and Controls Frameworks and Systems
  • Proven experience working independently and engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced and highprofile transformational program including proven stakeholder management skills

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.

With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
