Description
We are looking for experienced PSV Shift Fitters to join our Preston depot.

Rate of pay up to £43,680 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. You will be expected to sit Engineering Assessments to determine rate of pay. The company will then develop you to improve your skills and overall pay.

We are looking for flexible Engineers to work 40 hours per week on a shift rota.

The individual must be a team player willing to learn and adapt to the running of a busy workshop.


Experience of the industry HGV or PSV is necessary and the individual must be confident in fault finding and rectification of all types of faults and defects.

A good knowledge of the DVSA rules and legislation is important as inspections and MOT preparation will be required.


Your daily tasks will include:


  • MOT inspections and preparation.
  • Service and inspections of the fleet.
  • Defect and rectification of buses running back from service.
  • Engine, Adblue, Gearbox, Running gear replacements and repairs.
  • Preparing the fleet for next day service.

Requirements:


  • Team player
  • Experience with PSV or HGV vehicles
  • Good knowledge of DVSA rules and legislation
  • Confident in fault finding and rectification of all types of faults and defects
