Maths Teacher


Responsibilities:


  • Teach mathematics to students from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of ability
  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help students achieve their goals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to promote a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to design and implement effective strategies to support struggling students
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in math education

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching mathematics to students from diverse backgrounds, preferably in a challenging urban school environment
  • Strong content knowledge in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics
Ability to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse range of learners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
